The applicability of AI in companies: a silent earthquake

AI has the power to radically transform the way companies operate, but only if they are able to overcome the journey associated with its implementation.

The era of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has arrived with the promise of exponential growth in efficiency and innovation. But in addition to the hype surrounding this transformative technology, companies also face significant challenges when trying to introduce AI into their operations, ranging from technical issues to ethical concerns.

The introduction of all this paradigm shifting faces an unprecedented challenge when it comes to integration in companies, where there are still many issues that need to be explored to truly realise AI’s full potential.

Since the European Parliament approved the AI Act, the first set of rules to regulate the use of Artificial Intelligence within the European Union, there are already established principles that regulate its use.

From our experience on a case-by-case basis for companies, in this first phase, the priority has been to determine the main areas in which AI will be applied, since it will be necessary to rethink them or, in many cases, almost reorganise them. It is essential to have this compass and orientation, alongside knowledge of the benefits and risks of this technology, in order to then move on to a more operational phase.

Companies are conducting a first approach through pilot projects, to understand what the real impacts of AI are. Through our experience as business partners, we are following a path that gives us a holistic view of the subject.

This year we set up a Centre of Excellence specialising in Generative Artificial Intelligence, for which we have created a specific roadmap on the integration journey that covers the path from initial familiarisation to the adoption of systems that mimic human intelligence, then driving digital transformation in organisations.

We have seen companies increasingly embracing pilot projects, and this phase is still very much characterised by experimentation. We believe that once this initial stage is over, we will then move on to the real stage of introducing this technology’s literacy into organisations.

AI has the power to radically transform the way companies operate, but only if they are able to overcome the journey associated with its implementation. By taking on the challenge of this “silent earthquake” through a strategic and collaborative approach with specialised teams, they can position themselves to capitalise on the opportunities offered by AI and boost their growth and long-term success.
